Sapulpa

There are residents at this facility who have dementia. (There are other facilities that I go to that are all dementia facilities.) The power of God is not limited to certain types of hardships, sickness, or disease. The power of God is the answer to correct anything that does not come from Him; anything that steels, kills, or destroys.
I have become much more huggy than I used to be - hugging, holding hands, etc. Because, I know that as I do, the healing power of God flows to affect a healing and a cure. It's wonderful to watch. God is so good.

Broken Arrow

As a result of our family Christmas trip I was not able to go to Forest Hills during the month of December. That means it's been about 2 months since I've been here. It was so good to see everyone again. I thank God how the Word of God can strengthen us and lift our spirits. That's exactly what happened this morning. We could all say, It was good to be in the presence of God.

Chouteau

I find a lot of residents who are lonely. They simply want fellowship. When I say fellowship I don't mean someone who comes in just to say, "hi". I mean the fellowship they remember from their church family. That kind of fellowship that reminds them who's family they are in, who they are in Christ. This morning we lifted our hands to the Lord and worshiped Him for a while. The longer we worshiped the more you could see the loneliness melt away. Okemah/Wewoka

This morning I walked into a new facility - Okemah Care Center. Starting next month we will be ministering here; more residents and more ministry. I love it!

Okmulgee

I must admit I was a little distracted this morning as a result of the inauguration. I wondered if the TVs would be on when I got to the nursing home. But, they were not. We had a great time worshiping our Lord. After the service I was able to minister to one woman in particular. She said she had been a believer for many years. During the last few month there were some things happening in her life that caused her to need Him more than ever. Then she began to cry. I held her and we prayed together for quit some time. God is so faithful to have the right people, in the right place, just at the right time. Praise the Lord!

Muskogee

Hands were in the air once again as we praises our Lord and Savior. Many of the residents had been waiting for 20 minutes for the service to start. I got there 10 minutes early and they said, let's get started so we can get an extra 10 minutes out of you. We are back in the groove of learning to put on the armor of God. This morning we put on the shield of faith. At the close of the service several residents said how much they learned about coming against anything that would Steal, Kill, or Destroy. We are learning to fight the good fight of faith.

Claremore

It is always a joy to spend time in Claremore and with the residents of Autumn Wood. This is a memory unit. Every one here has issues with memory. Something I have noticed about them. For the most part, their spirits are very strong. They know who their Savior is. They know who Jesus is. As we started to sing some of the old hymns we stirred that spirit man. As we stirred that spirit man memories began to surface. Then, I asked them to share some of those memories. They shared and I shared. It was a wonderful time. This was just like the new testament church, meeting in homes, singing songs, sharing testimonies, It was wonderful. Now it's on to Nowata.

Pryor

The Word of God is so Good, when you hear it, you want to hear more. That's exactly what happened this morning. We began to re-look at fighting the good fight of faith and putting on the armor of God. One of the residents raised her hand and asked two questions: How can I know I'm saved? And, How do I know I'm fighting? 45 minutes later they asked me how long I could stay. We are making believers and fighters in the nursing home community. This is not a physical fight, this is a spiritual fight. The Apostle Paul said to put on the whole armor of God and take a stand. There are 2 sides to this fight. We can take a stand for something or we can take a stand against something. After the service the woman that asked the two questions said, "Look out world, I'm ready to fight now! When are you comin' back."

Tulsa/Stillwater

I am sitting here in a McDonald's on my way back from Stillwater. I've been thinking about how good God is. This ministry continues to grow. Even when I can't see how to squeeze much more into my schedule, God always shows a way. This morning I added another nursing home. We are now in 37 facilities, 32 communities, and 25 counties. God continues to move in a mighty way. I've had a service in Tulsa at 10am then a service in Stillwater at 1:30pm. God has a wonderful plan for each and every one of us. It's not the same. It is unique. It is designed just for you, and just for me. He is amazing!

Muskogee

As we were singing, I saw a hand go up behind a computer screen at the main desk. She was waving to the music and I new they were participating as much as they could. The Good News is being heard by residents, staff, and friends. At the close of the service there were probably a dozen or so residents who raised their hands wanting to press in to God and rededicate themselves to the Lord. PRAISE THE LORD!

Today I want to give a big shout out to all my supporters. You understand how God feels about getting His message around the world. And, in my case, to nursing care facilities. This morning I drove 110 miles to minister in 2 nursing care facilities. This takes time and money. There are not many out here doing this. The great news is He wants to bless those who are willing to support His Gospel. We really are in this together. I sense your prayers as I travel and minister. We had an amazing time this morning. As a supporter you receive God's benefits just as I do - Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Tulsa

It is always a joy to witness someone confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior. And, that is exactly what happened this morning. At the close of the service a man stood from his wheel chair and shared his confession of Jesus Christ. Then, he went on to explain how everyone can do the same.

The Activities Director and Administrator want us to move to the 'Big Room' in the front of the building so we can accommodate larger crowds. It's exciting to watch the Lord work.

Wagoner

The power of God continues to flow in a more powerful/stronger way in the nursing homes. We sang and rejoiced in the Lord. Then, we started back in the series - How To Fight The Good Fight Of Faith. WE ARE OVERCOMERS.

Muskogee

I believe the intensity of the nursing home ministry has risen to a new level. I know that we have only been in the nursing homes 3 days so far this year. But, it has surprised me. I was not expecting it and really not believing for it. It seems that His intensity builds as we continue to be faithful to His call. Residents are responding to both the music and the Word like never before. I think we went over an hour and they did not want to stop. (That's pretty good for a nursing home.) Many of the staff came through and were excited about how the residents were responding. We can be quickened by the Word of God no matter where we are or what our circumstances.

Warner

There are some nursing homes that can accept special needs kids. This is one of them. This morning there were several in the service. When I see them it takes me back to the days when I used to go to nursing homes with my dad. Back then these special needs people were in county homes. I don't think county homes exist any more. Anyway, I like working with these kids. When we make eye contact, we smile at each other. I know they remember me. Throughout the service I put my hands on them and believe God that His healing power continues to do a mighty work in there lives. One gal held on to my hand and wouldn't let go. There are not many who recognize them. But, they are precious in His sight.

Tahlequah

Many times our situations and circumstances seem to be overwhelming. But, no matter what they are, God has the answer. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." That is for any situation, anywhere. Residents in nursing homes, just like many people throughout the world, believe their situation has no answer. We are bringing Help, Hope, and Healing, every day, and in every situation. Jesus Is Lord!

Glenpool

It is a new day, a new month, and a new year. Let's take our faith to a new level. This morning we went back to the series we were on before the Christmas season - How To Fight The Good Fight Of Faith. This is not a physical fight. It is a spiritual fight. Several residents came to me this morning wanting prayer. I remember a pastor once said, "everybody ought to have at least 3 crazy friends." Crazy enough to believe God is true and Satan is a liar. I guess I was one of those crazy friends. We fight against him with the Word of God. We believe the Word is true even when everything around us is trying to prove to us it's not. That is the fight. Jesus said, you shall know the true and the true shall set you free. The Bible says, no weapon formed against us shall prosper; when we come against it with the Word of God.
