Muskogee

This morning I realized once again how important it is to minister in nursing care facilities. Inside these walls are: residents, employees, family members, friends, and others who come in for a variety of reasons. As I minister I see all of them listening at one time or another. At the close of the service I put an emphasis on praying with them. Either for salvation, rededication, or healing. As I walked through the group, picking up the song sheets, many asked for prayer. Praise the Lord!

Broken Arrow

This morning was a new facility - Cedar Crest in Broken Arrow. We had a wonderful time. I was surprised to see so many in the meeting room for the first meeting. I have worked with this administrator before and she filled up the room. We continue to branch out and reach as many people as possible.

Pryor/Vinita

It was so good to be back in Pryor today. Everyone wants to be accepted. it doesn't matter where you live or what your situation is. Those who live in nursing homes also want to be accepted. They want to belong, to be a part of something. We are inviting them to be a part of the biggest and best group on earth - the family of God. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life." We continue to: Strengthen The Saved & Save The Lost.

This afternoon I was ministering On "Expectations". I was reading from 1 Sam 17:37 where David said, "moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine." When I said, "out of the paw of a lion", this woman came in, in a wheel chair, wearing this mask over her face. (She got it as a gift from her son at Christmas to help keep her face warm.) But, it sure was hilarious when she came in. She became the object lesson for the afternoon.

Muskogee/Tahlequah

There are many times when I feel so honored to be ministering in nursing care facilities. That God would ask me to go into these facilities and share the Love of His Son. What a joy. This morning I think the residents ministered to me more than I ministered to them. We looked at righteousness. It's a gift from God. We receive it when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. There were smiles all across the room as we realized that in Christ we are in right standing with God!

Claremore/Nowata

A new name under new ownership but the same place.

This morning the residents were so excited about singing hymns they started singing before I got there. When I got to the door I could hear singing and thought there was another activity going on. I hesitated a little bit to see if there was another room I should be going to. They saw me through a window, came out to grab me, and brought me inside. We sang, and sang, and sang. We were definitely strengthening The Saved this morning!

Tulsa/Cleveland

I am eating lunch in Cleveland and getting ready for this afternoons service. I've been thinking about This mornings service and how grateful I am to be doing what I am doing. I was informed of another resident who finished his race and went to heaven. Just to know you've had a part to play in a persons life and they are now in heaven. What a wonderful feeling to know heaven is your home. To know you are in the family of God. We continue to Strengthen The Saved & Save The Lost.

Muskogee

Today has been a wonderful day. Both morning and afternoon services have been received well. Residents were raising their hands and voices to the Lord. We are sharing what I call - "Heart Fit: spirit, soul, and body". It is training to run our race for God. I shared that I have never seen an athlete slow down as they reach the finish line. No, they press in. We are not to slow down as we reach the finish line of this life. But, we are to finish our race strong. I saw eyes light up all over the room. Yes, let's run our race strong.

Muskogee/Haskell

This morning, as I was setting up, I asked a woman if she wanted to sing? She said, "No!". I said, "Well, how about singing some hymns?" She said, "No!". (She new every song and sang them with a smile on her face.) Later on we were singing a hymn titled "I will sing the wondrous story". It talks about the Crystal Sea. This same woman said, "Where is the Crystal Sea?" I explained to her it was in heaven. She said, "Oh, I won't be able to get there today but I'd sure like to see it some time". These people are: moms, dads, cousins, friends, etc. They need people to visit them and love on them. That's what we are doing all over eastern Oklahoma. Strengthening The Saved & Saving The Lost.

Barnsdall/Bartlesville

EXPECTATIONS - What are we expecting for the new year? Is it based on your circumstances and the things that have caused you to have a negative attitude? Or, is it based on what the Word of God says? This is what we are talking about in the nursing homes. We had an amazing time this morning. (I am so drawn to the nursing homes I always have an amazing time.) There were hands raised and shoutin' going on. What a great way to start the day!

Warner/Tahlequah

It was good to take a break during the Christmas and New Years season. But, it's also very good to get back to the nursing homes. Many times there are things that happen, during the visit, that you can miss unless you pay close attention. Sometimes the slightest move is a big deal. I have observed residents coming out of comas. If you not aware, you could miss it. This morning we had more than usual in the room. Today we went back to the basics - John 3:16, "For God so loved the world . . ." His Love Is Amazing!
