Pryor/Vinita

Praise and Worship is very powerful. We use it all the time in the nursing homes. (Music used to lift up the name of Jesus changes the atmosphere.) As I entered the facility this morning; I had the thought, "I need to change the atmosphere." As we began to sing, residents one by one told me of situations they were in. We sang and prayed, sang and prayed. God is moving in the nursing homes. Praise the Lord.

Broken Arrow

What an amazing morning. There was a woman in the middle of all the other residents who did not grow up in church. She did not know the hymns. And, when I talked with her about Jesus she didn't know much about Him. After we sang several hymns I asked her if she would be interested in coming into the family of God; if she would be interested in accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior? She smiled and said, "Yes!" The rest is history and all of heaven is rejoicing.

Claremore/Nowata

We always have such a great time here. These residents love to sing about Jesus.
There are literally thousands of people behind closed doors in nursing care facilities.  These people are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, and friends. They would love to have someone come for a visit. Share the love of God today!

Muskogee

It is always a thrill to pray with someone to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. This morning was another one of those times. At the close of the service I was talking with the residents and picking up the song sheets. One woman said, "I want you to pray with me to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior like you said". We held hands and prayed together. Then I gave her a big hug and welcomed her into the family. This just never gets old!

Muskogee/Haskell

This morning was a tremendous witness for the Lord. This facility is an assisted living facility. There is a high percentage of residents in assisted living who are dealing with some form of dementia. Music seems to help the memory. As we sang the hymns this morning I could see the residents "wake up". Many of the staff could see what was happening. They are very, very grateful we are coming.

Tulsa/Bristow

What a great morning at Maplewood. We praised the Lord and then looked at 2 ways to walk the path that God has prepared for you - 1) Be in the Word and 2) Prayer. At the close of the service we dedicated ourselves to constantly pursue the plan that God has prepared for us. Now, it's on to Bristow.

Muskogee/Tahlequah

This morning I recognized, once again, the need for ministry in nursing care facilities. In most cases there is physical care needed. However, there can also be mental and social care. In this facility all of this is mixed with those who have simply chosen to retire here. This makes a very wide variety of people. This morning this was the cross-section of residents. We had a wonderful time praising the Lord and then spent time in the Word. After the service there were many residents who asked for prayer. God is showing Himself strong in the nursing homes.

Warner/Tahlequah

There were several residents in the meeting room as I entered the door. (It's always good to see staff that prepares for an up-coming meeting.) There are people who live here with a real variety of needs - all forms of long term care - both mental and physical. We raised our voices and praised the Lord with many of the long standing hymns. Then, we looked into the Word and saw that according to His promises He can meet all our needs if we trust Him and receive. Yes Lord, I receive!
