Muskogee

It was another wonderful day at East Gate. We had residents, family, and staff in the service this morning. There were several "amens" and hands raised as we worshiped our Lord. We are realizing that we must be in fellowship with Him every day. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Broken Arrow/Okmulgee

Cedar Crest Care Center is a facility where the administrator called me and asked me to come. She had been the administrator at a facility in Fort Gibson and moved to Cedar Crest. As staff sees God move and work in their facilities they want more of it. The residents also want it. They don't want phony. They want the real deal. They want the true and living God. This morning there were several medical workers, from hospitals and care companies, in the building. They came to help residents who were in my service. As they came in and realized a service was going on they stayed in the back of the room. I asked them to feel free to do what ever they came to do. It wouldn't bother me at all. They said what I was doing was more important. I believe they recognized the presence and power of God. It is a real honor to represent the Lord in this way. We are reaching a nation of residents and staff. Praise the Lord. We continue to: Strengthen The Saved & Save The Lost.

Chouteau/Vinita

It's good to be back in Chouteau. I was here over 2 years ago and now I have the opportunity to come back. There were several of us who recognized each other; both residents and staff. It was like a family reunion. We sang the wonderful hymns of the church. We sang, cried, shouted, and gave glory to God. He is so good!

Albert Lea, Minn.

God created family before He created the Church. Family is very important. The Bible says to Honor our father's and mother's and we will have long life. We are also to care for the widows and orphans of the earth. (Mom is also a widow.) Doing so is very close to God's heart. I have noticed this throughout my ministry in nursing care facilities.
This past week I have been helping my mother who is 101 years old. She has been living in independent living. Within the last month or so she has decided it's time to go to assisted living. What an honor and blessing it is to be here to help her move. She is truly a Proverbs 31 woman.
I had a full week scheduled for the nursing homes this week. When I explained to them that I wanted to help my mom move they all said, GO!, we'll see you next time. You need to help your mom. What a Blessing. It's been a great week.

Muskogee

God is so good. It was another wonderful morning. We talked about running our race by faith. The very first step to running your race for God is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. There were several residents who rededicated their lives to the Lord this morning. As I was handing out the song sheets, before the service, one of the residents handed me an envelope. It had a Thank You card on the inside. She said, these were prayers she was praying for me. I want to share them with you because these are prayers I will be praying for our supporters.

Muskogee/Haskell

This is a memory unit so we sing a lot here. Toward the end of our time the residents began to ask for specific songs - Power In The Blood, Are You Washed In The Blood, Nothing But The Blood, There's Power In The Blood, Victory In Jesus. It was an amazing time. Those who grew up in the church new all the songs. Those that didn't, wanted to know more!

Barnsdall/Bartlesville

Over the extended holiday weekend Ann and I went to Her folks for her dad's 90th birthday. They are still able to be home and on their own. Then I traveled to see my mom who is 101. She has just recently decided to move to assisted living. She said she could use a little help with laundry, making the bed, house keeping, etc. Pretty amazing at 90 and 101. The reason I mention this is because it has given me renewed vision to minister in the nursing homes. Many of the older generation are not able to live on their own and are found in nursing care facilities.
This morning we had a wonderful time in Barnsdall. There were several in the room. There were also staff who came as they could. Then I was told there were many doors open up and down that halls with residents listening who could not get to the meeting room. We are bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to many, many people on a daily basis. Praise The Lord!

Warner/Tahlequah

There are nursing care facilities that care for ,what we would call, regular or standard nursing care residents. There are also facilities that are equip to care for special needs people. The nursing home in Warner has the ability to care for special needs. This morning the room was over half special needs residents. I get really excited when that happens. I love to hold their hands. Speak the Word over them. Get them to respond and make them smile. There was also a resident who had a stroke 18 months ago and is here for rehab. She is believing she will walk out. I like that kind of faith. We agreed together and I believe we will see it.

Now it's on to Tahlequah!

Tulsa/Bristow

This morning many of the residents were mourning over a resident who had just gone home to be with the Lord. It was good timing for me to be there. We spent a lot of time talking about family. (The Family of God.) We were encouraged knowing that as children of God He never leaves us or forsakes us. We can always trust Him and His Word.
