Wiburton

At the close of the service there was a woman who asked for prayer. She said her husband was not expected to live longer than 2 weeks but he has already out lived that. He is in a different facility and she does not know any more than that. Then she said she has 2 broken hips and in a lot of pain. Another resident overheard this and wanted to join in prayer. We have such a wonderful God. He meets all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We prayed and her pain left. We are also agreeing according to the Word that her husband will live and not die.

Stilwell

Stilwell is another facility I have not talked about much because it's an afternoon service. Many times I would write about the morning services during lunch but then after the afternoon service I would just go home. Now I am stopping on the way home to write more about the afternoons. (It is literally half of all the nursing homes.) I've been ministering here since 2010. We've seen salvations, healings, and one resident even sang "Amazing Grace" in Cherokee. Today we looked at "How To Be Led By The Spirit Of God." These are some topics residents have never heard of before. There soaking it up like sponges. God is so good.

Tahlequah

It is an honor to bring the anointing of God to those in nursing care facilities. To see hope come to what seems to be hopeless situations. This morning we talked about being led by the Spirit of God. It does not matter where you are or what your situation is, we all have the ability to follow the plan of God. That is the very, very best thing we could ever do. Music seems to bind us together. Then, by the end of the service everyone is ready for prayer. Now, it's on to Stilwell.

Chandler

We are establishing a well-knit group in Chandler. There are many residents here who do not seem to have a spiritual connection with each other allthough they are Christians. We are strengthening that connection. Singing together and studying the Word together is developing "Family".

Glenpool

So many times it's easy to miss the supernatural when you're looking for the spectacular. This morning there was a woman who was brought into the meeting in a geri chair. She has been in this facility for some time. She is on a feeding tube and has not responded to anything: speech, touch, etc. Her eyes stay closed and she does not speak. Her vitals seem to be stable so she is here. I was ministering on the Goodness of God. He is good all the time. At the close of the service we began to sing "Standing On The Promises." There was a friend of this woman's who came to see her and was sitting with her during the service. She glanced over to look at the woman in the geri chair but then I noticed she quickly glance again. The woman in the geri chair was singing the hymn but very softly. you really couldn't hear her but you could see she was singing. The visitor began to cry as she realized her friend was hearing and responding. As a result the visitor reached out to hold her hand. When she did the woman squeezed her hand. She was responding. It was the beginning of something we had not seen for months. It may not be spectacular but it is supernatural. God is good all the time.

Holdenville

Last month I had made a change in nursing homes for Holdenville. Today, when I went to the new home, before I every went inside, I new it wasn't right. I headed back to the original home and they welcomed me with open arms. (It's so important to know the difference between following emotion -vs- being led by the Spirit.)

Eufaula

We had another wonderful service this morning. There were 35 residents brought into the service and we had church. At the close of the service we sang, Standing On The Promises Of God. Then, a woman, off to one side, with a broken voice and tears in her eyes, began to sing - "Oh Lord you know I have no friend like you. If heavens not my home then Lord what will I do. The angels beckon me from heavens open door and I can't feel at home in this world any more." Then, she paused and looked at me. (She had that look that I have only seen in a mothers eye.) She said, "I'm 95 years old and probably won't be here much longer. Preach the Word." I truly believe, that was God speaking to me. I remember telling the Lord, "Lets build Your kingdom. You tell me what to do and I'll do it." This morning, we were all blessed!

Tahlequah

Brookdale Assisted Living is another facility I have ministered in for close to 7 years. I have not said much about it because it is an afternoon service. Up until a few weeks ago I would write about the morning services during my lunch time but then not say anything after my afternoon service. Brookdale is a wonderful facility. Many times in the assisted living facilities we get into the Word a little deeper. I can sense a pull from the Spirit of God to say more. This afternoon we talked about being filled with the Spirit of God with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. Many of the residents shared their experiences of being filled and then being led. Others were listening intently wondering what this was all about. We are growing in the Word.

Muskogee

Wow, what a morning. The residents sang louder than I have ever heard them sing before. My message was - The Secret To The Good Life. It's not that complicated. 1.Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior. 2.Be filled with the Spirit of God. 3.Be led by the Spirit of God. At the end of the service there were several wanting to be filled with the Spirit. Praise the Lord!

Warner

Warner is the very first nursing home I ministered in when I started this ministry. I am very grateful for their hospitality to me. We sang for virtually the entire service this morning. Then, I prayed with everyone who came into the service. After the service was over I went to many of the rooms where residents could not get out. Their eyes just lit up when they realized someone came to see THEM. The Bible tells us, we are to go into all the world. This is part of that world. Thank you for helping me go!
