We started out by singing several of the well known hymns. Then we sang a hymn written by Bill Gaither called, "Let's Just Praise The Lord." There is a line in the song that says, "Let's just lift our hands toward heaven and praise the Lord." Hands went up all over the room. It was wonderful to be a part of. This is an Alzheimer's facility. They certainly were paying attention. It seems when we sing the hymns they grew up on, it triggers memories they don't often think of any more. Smiles came to their faces and we truly praised the Lord!
