As I entered Shady Rest this morning I was overwhelmed with the help necessary to run a facility like this. These are places where the residents and staff need the church.

The definition of a nursing home is:
A nursing home, convalescent home, skilled nursing facility, care home, rest home or intermediate care provides a type of residential care. It is a place of residence for people who require continual nursing care and have significant difficulty coping with the required activities of daily living. Nursing aides and skilled nurses are usually available 24 hours a day. Residents include the elderly and younger adults with physical or mental disabilities.

Imagine a facility where youth all the way through the elderly are cared for 24/7 for both physical and mental issues.

These are the places I call "home." Places where I see and experience the power of God. Places where residents, staff, friends, and family begin to touch and experience the reality of a loving God.
